Xiaomi Black Shark Skywalker gaming phone leaked; hints at Apple iPhone XS Max level performance with 10GB RAM

Xiaomi may be planning to launch a new model in its gaming smartphone lineup called the Black Shark Skywalker.

Chinese electronics manufacturer Xiaomi rode into the gaming industry with the launch of its Snapdragon 845 powered Black Shark gaming smartphone. The Black Shark smartphone went through an upgrade soon after and was called the Black Shark Helo. The smartphones boasted of massive power upgrades with handheld gaming consoles meaning gaming was the penultimate purpose of that smartphone. The Black Shark also proved Xiaomi’s prowess in the gaming smartphone industry.

Now in response to leaks, Xiaomi is possibly working on a new version of its gaming smartphone called the Black Shark Skywalker which is according to us, a cool name for a gaming smartphone. The benchmark scores for the upcoming Black Shark Skywalker have been leaked on the Geekbench website.

On Geekbench, a device which is named Black Shark Skywalker has been spotted in listing and sports 8GB of RAM. The listing also shows the multi and single core scores which look impressive. The single core scores are at 3,494 points while the multi-core score is at 11,149 points. The listing of scores means there will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 powering the smartphones. There are also other details which reveal that the Xiaomi Black Shark Skywalker will run on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.

Xiaomi had launched the Black Shark Helo, the predecessor in a short period of time while giving it proper specification upgrades and design changes. With the Black Shark Skywalker edition, Xiaomi may keep the design very similar to the Black Shark Helo so as to keep the manufacturing costs at the optimised level. The Black Shark Skywalker will also get the same advanced cooling system which was present on the Black Shark, and the Black Shark Helo smartphones as well. This means Xiaomi will be able to utilise the Snapdragon 855 chipset to its full clocking power, letting gamers enjoy the games for longer periods of time.

Xiaomi had launched its previous gaming smartphones with 10GB of RAM which allows room for speculation that the upcoming Black Shark Skywalker may arrive in the market with 12GB of RAM.
